Life is full of questions and one of the most important, if not the most important question is “Is there a God?”. When we feel that there is something missing in our lives, it is because the spirit that is in us, which is the part of us that lives forever, is looking for something to acknowledge, or in other words, glorify, or worship. We were just built with a need to give worship or honor to something. Don’t believe me? Just examine how many times, when we feel down or depressed, that our minds start to ask questions like, “Where did I come from?” or “Is there a God, really?”.
Let’s look at how you can believe that there is a God in the first place. I need to be clear here. I am not talking about believing that there is A god. What I am referring to here is that you need to believe that the one true God exists, the Alpha and Omega, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob of the bible. Let’s break down how you can come to the logical conclusion that this God does truly exist.
First, you will have to acknowledge that you, the heavens and the earth exist. This is not difficult because we can see the world around us every day. Our bodies and minds think through this process, so we can be sure that there is life. Therefore, if we and the universe are indeed here and present, they had to come into being in some way or other.
Today we will be focusing on Evolution versus Creation, mainly because Creation indicates that we were created, therefore proving that God is real. Creation can include many religions and we will have to break those down later. The reason we need to address this first is that the universe could not logically or illogically, have been both created AND come from nothing and evolve into what we have now. So we must choose one. The easiest way for me to do this without taking 10,000 words to explain is to disprove Evolution. That may sound silly to much of the population, especially since we, as a society, have been taught Evolution as fact by the media, schools, colleges, and friends. There is a reason for the fact that this is done and I will address it in a moment. It is actually not very hard to disprove Evolution as a whole, if you think about it with even half an open mind.
The evidence against Evolution is substantial, clear, and overly abundant, like the simple fact that with the billions of animals that have lived on the earth over time, there are NO fossils or living proof that link from one species to another. Example: There are no fossils linking apes to humans. Some might site one or two so called missing links that are touted as “Proof” of Evolution. Not only are there questions as to whether any of them are legitimate or not, but even if you assume that they are ALL real creatures, that would mean that we are supposed to believe that Evolution of Billions of different creatures is proven with just these 7 or 8 links. There would have to be millions and billions of living animals and fossils of links to even have an argument. I will only offer one more piece of evidence against Evolution (Why only one? Because that is all I need. If you need a million more, you can subscribe to Creation Magazine and get all you want).
To get back to what I was saying, ask yourself this simple question, “How did it all start?”. Where did the first particle come from? The big bang theory wants me to believe that some incredibly technical big worded action happened that caused an explosion. It really doesn’t matter how many big words you use, when you don’t have ANYTHING, you can’t have a reaction of ANY kind. No matter what particle they lay the bang on, the question is still there. Where did that particle come from? The answer? Nothing. That cannot happen. If you take every particle of substance out of container and leave it alone in space for one thousand TRILLION milleniums, it will still be nothing!!! Nothing can start from nothing and that is THE end of the Evolution argument.
Look, I understand that this is very hard for most educated people to grasp because the text books and teachers (professors) in colleges or even high schools or middle schools teach evolution as a fact. So why, if evolution is a complete lie, do they do this? There is only one explanation that I can come up with. They have to embrace anything they can so they don’t have to acknowledge that there is a Creator. If there is a Creator, a supreme being that created all of us, then we owe him our lives because they belong to him anyway. That is very hard for independent minded people to grasp or admit. We, by our very nature, want to be able to do what we want. If they admit there is a God or Creator, then they would have to admit that not following Him would be wrong and that living for themselves was wrong too. The incredible thing is that God lets them do this. God, when He created human beings, gave us a free will. (The ability to make whatever decisions that we want, even not to believe in Him.) That free will is completely unfettered and God will not take it away.
To conclude for today, why is it even important to acknowledge that everything was created by a Divine Creator in the first place? Why is it important to ask if there is a God? Well, if there is a Creator, then that means that there is life after this. That being true, we had better find out what happens to us in that life and how to make sure we don’t end up in a place like hell (if heaven is real then so is hell). To do that we better take time to discover who that Creator is and what we need to do for Him. The next life will be infinitely longer than this one. How will you spend it?
